This is a record of a man no longer willing to lie about who he has been, but still figuring out who he is capable of becoming. I have survived war, mental illness, addiction, my own worst decisions, and the painful discovery that surviving something does not mean you walked away from it unchanged.
 I write about marriage, fatherhood, regret, recovery, identity, and the strange work of rebuilding a life after realizing you were the one who helped tear it down. I write about the truth as I understand it on the day I write it; because memory edits, shame lies, and silence grows teeth.
